METHODOLOGY

Editorial and catalog policy

A transparent standard for deciding what enters AniMerchive and how commercial links are presented.

Coverage

We cover commercially released Japanese manga, anime adaptations, original animation and related characters with meaningful legitimate merchandise demand. Each record connects provenance, creator, release era, format and buying routes.

Data quality

Core work metadata is checked against publisher, studio, rights-holder or other authoritative sources where possible. Each catalog update records its source and review date in the production database.

Product selection

We prefer traceable official products, authorized retailers, explicit manufacturer information and clear international fulfillment. Marketplaces are treated as search venues; individual sellers require separate review.

Corrections

Material errors are corrected when identified. Rights holders and readers can request a review through the contact channel once it is published for the site.

Images and intellectual property

Work titles and creator names are used for identification and commentary. Character art and product images are used only with permission, a valid program feed or another lawful basis.
